Book list updated

So I have added a few more books. 50 is a lot you know. I am realizing this now. I have started on Anna Karenina. I felt very daunted and had to stare the book down for a bit before I could start. Because like War and Peace, it is a really thick book. I mean really thick. But surprise! So far I am really liking it. And the characters aren’t confusing the hell out of me (well maybe a little) but nothing like with War and Peace. My friend suggested plotting out the characters on paper, and I think it will come to that (grand idea friend).

On another note, I recently finished a novel  by Deepak Chopra called “Soulmate” – a beautifully spiritual book about love. A love story yes, but not a sappy “romance” novel. Beautiful. I read it so fast, I probably could use to read it again to “get it”. I keep coming back to page 14 though. So I will share with you a quote:

“Surrender meant detachment. It meant placing who you are as the highest mystery. In simplest terms it meant putting your sould first and the world second…The man who surrenders is always open, always observing. You seek detachment not so that nothing can touch you, but so that you have enough space to find out what is real”
